Your Spring Fair 2027 deadline, in plain calendar terms
Spring Fair takes place 7 to 10 February 2027 at the NEC Birmingham. Work backwards from that date and the timeline is not as generous as it looks.
- December 2026: appoint your stand builder. Design approval and the CDM declaration can take up to six weeks, so a builder should ideally be on board at least two months before the show.
- Early January 2027: finished artwork due. Graphics and print need four weeks before the show to be produced, checked and fitted.
- Late January 2027: build, fit-out and dry-run in our Tamworth workshop.
- Early February 2027: transport, installation and hand over a finished stand.
If you are reading this in autumn 2026 with space booked, you are in good time. If you are reading it in January 2027, talk to us anyway and we will tell you honestly what is still possible.
What 20 minutes from the NEC actually buys you
T2 Display is based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, roughly 20 minutes from the NEC Birmingham. The NEC is our home venue. For a Spring Fair exhibitor, that proximity is not a nice detail, it is practical.
- Site visits during design. We can walk your space before the drawings are signed off, not guess at it from a floor plan.
- Crew on site early. Our installation team travels minutes, not hours, so build-up starts when it should.
- Problems fixed from the workshop. If something needs remaking during a four day show, it is made by our own carpenters, electricians and fabricators and driven over. Not sourced from a hotel room.
- Local storage between shows. Your stand lives near the venue it keeps returning to. Storage is quoted separately.

We build custom stands only, from 20 to 100 square metres
Plain and early, so nobody wastes a week: T2 build custom stands only, for spaces from 20 square metres up to 100 square metres.
Many Spring Fair exhibitors take smaller stands, and that is a perfectly sensible way to sell in to buyers. If your space is under 20 square metres, a custom build is not the right spend and we are not the right firm this time. No hard feelings, and do come back when you size up.
The custom route is what a home, gift or fashion brand does when it is stepping up: more square metres, more product on show, a proper meeting area, and a presence that reads across a busy hall. Custom build means designed and made from scratch for one brand and one space, with no system limits on height, shape or finish.
For context, the other two UK categories are different things. Modular is off-the-shelf systems, pole and panel, pop-ups or aluminium frames with infill panels, pre-manufactured to standard sizes at a standard height of around 2.5m, and it can be self-built. Hybrid is a mixture of modular and custom, usually system light boxes combined with purpose-built elements, and it is much less common now. We do not sell either as a product line, though we will use a system component such as a light box inside a custom build when it is the right answer.
A stand that survives four days and comes back in September
Spring Fair runs over four days across multiple halls. That is a long show for a stand and a long show for the people standing on it. We build accordingly.
- Real construction. Timber, framing and finishes made by a permanent in-house team of carpenters, electricians and fabricators, not assembled from whatever is in stock.
- Lighting that still works on day four. Electrics and lighting are part of the design from the start, typically 1,200 to 5,000 GBP, up to 6,000 GBP on larger builds.
- Storage and product handling designed in. Home and gift brands carry a lot of stock. Cupboards, shelving depth and counter heights get planned, not improvised.
- Built to be reused. A custom stand is an asset. Many brands exhibiting in February also show in September, so we design panels and graphics that can be refreshed rather than rebuilt, then store the stand near the NEC ready for the next edition.
What a Spring Fair custom stand costs
We quote line by line so you can see where the money goes. A typical mid-range custom build totals 16,000 to 44,000 GBP.
- Fabrication and build: typically around half of any contract value. From 4,000 GBP at the small end, 8,000 to 20,000 GBP mid-range, up to 50,000 to 60,000 GBP on large contracts.
- Graphics and print: 3,000 to 8,000 GBP mid-range. Graphics-led builds can run 12,000 to 18,000 GBP, which is common for retail brands where the product and the imagery do the talking.
- Electrics and lighting: 1,200 to 5,000 GBP, up to 6,000 GBP on larger builds.
- Transport and logistics: 600 to 2,000 GBP.
- Installation: 2,000 to 5,000 GBP depending on contract size.
- Breakdown: 1,500 to 4,000 GBP. De-rigging takes nearly as much labour as build-up, so it is priced honestly rather than hidden.
- Storage: quoted separately.
